Fewings Joinery is a family owned company which was established in 1882 in Charing Cross, Waverley by the Fewings family. Fewings Joinery in those days serviced, in the main, the Eastern Suburbs and surrounding areas with bespoke custom designed timber windows, doors and joinery. The methods used at that time were of English origin and style applying full mortice and tennon construction, a tried and true method, that is still considered the best form of construction and is used still to this day.
Fewings (as now more often referred to as) is now located at 609 Gardeners Road Mascot at the intersection of Gardeners Road and O’Riordan Street. The Foord family, a team made up of Mark, Bronwyn and Tobias Foord, have continued the original traditions over the past 20 years to manufacture detailed, architecturally designed and high quality timber windows, doors, shutters, louvres, screens, shop fronts,timber panelling and so much more. In fact if it can be made from timber Fewings can probably manufacture it. It is with pride Fewings can offer their expertise and skills to do the most difficult of projects large and small servicing prestigious architects, designers and builders in both the local and country areas.
Although steeped in the past Fewings applies 3D modelling for all their drawings to make sure that prior to manufacturing the assemblies will perform as promised. The factory is equipped with sophisticated CNC machinery which aids in assisting with detail, efficiencies and reliable turn around times. Only the best available hardware systems are used along with the highest quality materials. If undercoating or finish coating for items is required then Fewings can offer that service as well.
Fewings is compliant with all the relevant industry standards and can apply custom thermal ratings for BASIX requirements in NSW and other relevant building sustainability requirements applied in other states.
